Meeting Essential Needs with Compassion and Dignity
No individual or family should have to choose between putting food on the table and meeting other essential needs. Shadow of Charity works to support people experiencing food insecurity, financial hardship, homelessness, and other circumstances that make it difficult to afford everyday necessities.
Through our Food & Basic Needs Assistance program, we provide or help connect eligible individuals and families with essential resources such as food, clothing, hygiene products, household necessities, and emergency supplies.
What We Provide
- Supporting Individuals and Families. We recognize that financial hardship can affect anyone, including working families, seniors, individuals experiencing homelessness, and people facing unexpected life circumstances. Our goal is to respond with compassion while respecting the dignity, privacy, and individual circumstances of every person we serve.
- Building a Stronger Community. Providing immediate assistance is an important part of our work, but we also recognize the importance of helping people access longer-term resources and opportunities. By connecting individuals and families with community services and support networks, we seek to help address immediate needs while contributing to greater stability and well-being.
